Therapy for your wallet

FinWell is a one-stop financial wellness platform that empowers and enables younger adults to improve their relationships with money and navigate life’s ambiguities. Through our research, we found that finances are inherently emotional and can be stressful and overwhelming for a majority of the segment. At FinWell, money meets emotions to help you improve your thoughts, feelings, and actions around finances.

Our solution starts with a financial personality quiz to help us and our users better understand their behaviors and mental models when it comes to money. They can then speak with a financial therapist, create a roadmap to work towards their goals, uncover data-driven behavioral insights, and use a conversation guide to better navigate tricky financial topics. There’s something for everyone depending on their financial personality, regardless of where they are in their financial journey.

The impact of this project will be a financially savvy generation that can make money work for them. Our ultimate vision is to equip people to achieve a state of holistic wellness, have a better relationship with themselves and people around them, and design the life they want to live.

Our project was selected out of 50 projects to be presented in the Capstone Symposium and featured in the Parsons Strategic Design and Management blog as an exemplary project.

How we got there

We followed the double diamond design thinking process, from research to sensemaking, ideation, prototyping, and finally a concept pitch. To see more about our approach and insights, view our research report.
